The Department of Nursing at Colorado State University - Pueblo invites the community of Pueblo to attend the 2017 Convocation Ceremony on Thursday, January 19 at 2:30 p.m. in Hoag Recital Hall.

Convocation is a formal event held annually to welcome undergraduate and graduate nursing students, and the nursing community at large, to a new year in CSU-Pueblo's Nursing Program.

This year's convocation will feature guest speaker, Kelley Johnson. Kelley Johnson is a registered nurse who, representing Colorado in the Miss America 2016 competition, delivered an inspirational monologue about the meaning of nursing. Since that competition, Ms. Johnson has appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show, Dr. Oz, Inside Edition, E! News, and The Doctors.

The Convocation ceremony serves as an inspiration not only to the new nursing students, but also to those in the community of Pueblo who may want to be a part of the nursing profession.
