19th Denver Jewish Film Festival Description:
Dates: 02/04/2015 - 02/15/15

As we were choosing films for this year's festival a theme began to emerge; COEXISTENCE. "Coexistence", living in peace together despite our differences, is the fabric of the 2015 Denver Jewish Film Festival; whether between Israelis and Palestinians, father and sons, mothers and daughters or between friends. We kick of the festival on Wednesday, February 4, with a fun-filled party celebrating our honoree Kathy Neustadt and a screening of the dysfunctional Jewish family comedy It Happened In Saint-Tropez by female auteur Daniele Thompson (only showing opening night). We feel honored this year to welcome Executive Producer Nancy Spielberg with her documentary Above and Beyond, Thursday, February 5,and Director/Writer Lacey Schwartz with her deeply personal film Little White Lie, Thursday, February 12. Join us for our Centerpiece Film,The Last Mentsch, Saturday, February 7, which reminds us that the best story is not always the one we prefer to hear, but the truth. Topping off our extraordinary lineup is the Grand Finale Celebration on Saturday, February 14 which includes an Israeli buffet and the film The Outrageous Sophie Tucker. Remember, the festival does not end on closing night. Fabulous films continue all day Sunday, February 15.
