The city of Pueblo and Waste Connections Inc. are sponsoring a Spring Cleanup Day scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 7 at the Southside Landfill, off of Colorado 78 West.
Items that will be accepted are solid waste, trash and yard trimmings. The landfill will not take liquids, paint, electronics, appliances, tires or hazardous waste, such as poisons, cleaners, oil, toxics or asbestos.
The cost is $4 per car or truck. Trailers will receive a 40 percent discount with a $23 minimum fee. All loads must be covered and secured to receive discounted rates. Uncovered loads will be charged double the gate rate.
The yard waste roundup is limited to Pueblo residents only, who must bring a valid photo ID or photo ID with a current utility bill.
