5:30 PM
Steelworks Center of the West's Steelworks Museum
Smithsonian Institution Exhibit, The Way We Worked Description:
The Steelworks Center of the West proudly presents an opening reception for a special traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution, "The Way We Worked." The public opening reception is Friday, May 15, 5:30pm - 9:30pm. The exhibit runs May 15 through June 26.
At dark, on the opening night, see the historic stacks of the former CF&I steel mill illuminated for one night only. Thanks to EVRAZ for allowing the Steelworks Center this prestigious opportunity.
This fantastic event is sponsored by Colorado Humanities, City of Pueblo, Pueblo County, Black Hills Energy and the Pueblo Chieftain.

The Way We Worked reaches into the rich holdings of the National Archives to explore how work has changed in America over the last 100 years. Hear from workers today and from the past in engaging videos and audio recordings, and see how work has changed through artifact displays. To enhance the exhibit archival materials and artifacts from the Steelworks Archives' CF&I Collection are added to highlight CF&I's and southern Colorado's hard working citizens.
