The National Animal RIghts Day 2015 Description:
Colorado Springs will be participating in The National Animal Rights Day for the first time. On Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Acacia Park, speakers, performers and organizations will gather to raise awareness.

Speakers include:
Zhiwa Wardbury, eco-psychologist, eco-activist and spiritual practitioner
Keith Akers, Author and ecological and vegan advocate
Robert Cheeke, author and Vegan Bodybuilder

Organizations such as Greenpeace, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, and Sea Shepherd will be on hand sharing information, and local poets, singers and artists will perform throughout the day. Free plant-based food available throughout the event.

The Opening Ceremony begins at 11:00 A.M. followed by talks from relevant thought-leaders, local/national authors and inspired speakers on topics ranging from ethical, environmental and health implications associated with the farming, consumption, exploitation, and wearing of animal derived items. Local and national organizations, sanctuaries/rescues and vegan/vegetarian groups will be available from 12:00 for sharing information, answering questions.
