The public is invited to a Memorial Day observance at 9:00 am, Monday, May 25, 2015, at the Colorado City Cemetery. The ceremony will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Cuerno Verde Post 7305 of Colorado City. Guest speaker will be Brigadier General Donald P. Laucirica. General Laucirica currently serves as the Assistant Adjutant General - Army of the Colorado Army National Guard where he supports the Adjutant General as the primary advisor on all Army National Guard matters. He also serves as The Commander of the Colorado National Guard and is responsible for the readiness, training and policies for all of the Colorado Army National Guard to support its State and Federal Mission. Refreshments of coffee, soft drinks and donuts will be served following the ceremony courtesy of the Colorado City Cemetery District.
