The Artists' Gallery, 416 Main St., Historic Downtown Canon City, welcomes the community to our monthly "First Friday" art reception on June 5th from 5-8 p.m. Featured Artists for the month:

Anita Dewitt, award-winning figurative artist, recently introduced oils into her exquisitely detailed paintings. Her new figurative work in clay also demonstrates her keen attention to detail, with a focus on anatomy and style. Her transcendent ability to capture the essence of her subjects is remarkable.

Watercolorist, Judy Weyenberg's luminous landscapes and captivating studies, beguile the viewer with their tranquility and beauty. Her treatment of large washes of clear vibrant color, subtly demonstrates "just the right amount of lack of control".

Jewelry artist, Sue Davis, offers her finely crafted eclectic pieces, employing an intricate wire-wrapping technique. Her one-of-a-kind designs are particularly appealing for jewelry lovers with a casual personal style.
