The Hottest Place to be on "First Friday"!

Launch your 4th of July weekend festivities with a celebration of local art! The hottest place to be on First Friday, July 1st, is the Artists' Gallery in Historic Downtown Canon City! We are welcoming guests from 5 to 8 p.m. to enjoy a free evening of live music and refreshments, while engaging with some of the region's most talented and diverse artists! So bring your family and friends to join us in becoming "Articipants"--community members who actively participate in and support the arts!
Our two Featured Artists for the month of July are:
Jewelry artist, Kathy Pinover, whose glittering creations will not be out-sparkled by holiday fireworks! Kathy has a true gift for crafting exquisitely delicate and refined jewelry. She meticulously unites crystals, pearls and distinctive beads with tiny, hand-crafted sterling silver links. Her theme-inspired pieces reflect the beauty of the western landscape, and the spirit of the people who call the West their home.
Multi-media artist, Kathrine Douthit, will be featuring her vibrantly colored abstract paintings. Kathrine's work displays a skilled sense of composition and a keen perception of the workings of color. She creates a visual experience that is a free and unencumbered exploration of form, color, line, texture, pattern, and composition. The viewer is encouraged to assign their own interpretation!
"Chad Douthit and the Tryworks", with Chad and Laura Douthit and Anthony Maluso, will perform live music for your entertainment, topping off an enjoyable and energizing evening!
Nearly fifty amazing local artists and craftsmen are represented at The Artists' Gallery--voted Canon City's Favorite Art Gallery in 2015!
