The Celebrant singers, an internationally known Christian singing group, will present a community wide concert of contemporary music at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr., in Pueblo West.
They also will minister at the Saturday 4 p.m. Mass and at the 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. masses on Aug. 7.
Composed of 10 singers and a 12-piece orchestra, the Celebrant singers will present a musical "praise celebration" featuring contemporary sounds with a live orchestra. They have ministered in 6,000 Catholic parishes in the United States, 98 countries, provided music for Mother Theresa's Nobel Prize Award, for the world Youth Day in Rome and were received four times at the Vatican by Pope John Paul II.
Their music is powerful, worshipful, inspirational and for the entire family. The team members are chosen by auditions from across North Ameirca and other countries.
Traveling as a missionary team, they are not salaried, but have dedicated their lives around the world through music, testimony, prayer and the ministry of God's word.
The concert is free.
To cover their expenses, an opportunity to help them in their ministry to spread the Gospel, a free will offering will be available at the end of mass and at the concert.
