The Artists' Gallery, 416 Main St., Historic Downtown Canon City, invites you to our monthly "First Friday" art event on September 4, from 5-8 p.m. Three very talented local artists will be featured throughout the month.

Virginia Ames is presenting her exquisitely beaded jewelry - an art for which she has great passion. Virginia creates vintage-style pieces, incorporating unusual "found objects" and re-purposing treasured jewelry pieces and watches. Truly wearable art!

Primarily a painter, Pat Chace loves all forms of art. She believes that creating art is a journey which is both fun and rewarding. She's always learning, studying everything, while thinking, "how can I recreate this"?

Sharon Conner's prolific and diverse art work reflects her feelings ... "I want my viewers to see the sometimes simple, sometimes complex approach to my art and in turn, appreciate the serendipitous results. I paint and create intuitively. I delight in the unexpected and "happy accidents". My inspiration is Nature's glorious displays - always changing".
