Adam Levin, Classical Guitar
6:00 PM
Hoag Hall at Colorado State University-Pueblo
Adam Levin, Classical Guitar Description:
Acclaimed American classical guitarist Adam Levin appears at Colorado State University-Pueblo with a program featuring selected works from his critically-acclaimed discography, including his most recent project, "21st Century Spanish Guitar, Volume 1" [Naxos, 2013], the first of four albums to be released on the label celebrating Levin's major collaboration with the new century's "Spanish Masters." During three years of performance studies and musical research in Madrid as a Fulbright Scholar, Levin met and collaborated with 30 Spanish composers spanning four generations, who each wrote new works for the guitar dedicated to him. Levin will perform the west coast premieres of several works from his expansive Spanish collection alongside beloved masterworks by Eugene Ysaye, J.S. Bach, and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.

"Through his performances there are inferences to the great Segovia."
