Second Science Saturday: Eyes
Steelworks Center of the West, 215 Canal St., presents Second Science Saturday, a kids’ program focused on family learning with STEAM themes (science, technology, engineering, art and math) on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. for students in grades 1-6 and their adult helpers. Cost is $5/participant.
This month’s theme: Eyes. There are several hazards of working in heavy industry, particularly those involving the eyes. The class will consist of a brief lesson in eyeball anatomy, culminating in participants dissecting a cow eyeball. Participants will also conduct a few hands on experiments relating to optical illusions.
