Winners Take Black & White Photography To Next Level Description:
PALMER LAKE, CO – Six winners of the recent Monochrome Photography Exhibition will teach local photographers about the art of monochrome photography at 7 p.m., Monday, January 14, at the Mountain Community Mennonite Church facility, 643 Hwy 105, in Palmer Lake. The session is free and open to all interested photographers. To see more about the event or the Palmer Divide Photographers Group, go to www.pdphotographers.com.

Their talk, “It’s Not Just Black-and-White Photography,” will embrace all phases of monochrome photography from how they see themselves as photographers to how they selected and prepared their award-winning prints for exhibition. The artists will talk about all the steps they took in taking the image, post-processing, in printing and preparing the images for the gallery.

Featured will be Michael Ciletti, Best of Show; Sally Maddocks, Overall Impact; James Van Hoy, Artistic Merit; William Dahl, Composition; Jerilyn Spink, Technical Excellence; and Charles Lehman, Originality.

Participants will see visuals of the award-winning photographs as they were submitted, and as they were finally prepared for exhibition at the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts.

In case of inclement weather, check the website or the Facebook page where a notice of cancellation will be posted.
