Center for American Values Student Display
11:00 AM
Center for American Values
Description:
The middle school students of Springs Adventist Academy are developing critical thinking skills by learning how to interview community members, public speak, gain research and analytic techniques, and are learn the meaning of quality characteristic traits in humans. Students have chosen seven people from Colorado Springs who they believe represent the CHERISH traits; Christ-centered, Honor, Exploration, Responsibility, Integrity, Service, Heroism. They are learning why these traits are good for the community and finding local heroes that display these qualities. I believe it would be valuable for the students to come to the Center for American Values and display their CHERISH projects for the people who are informed from Colorado Springs as well as the community in Pueblo. This way the students may inform the community about their findings as well as gain a new insight to patriotism, war heroes and other people on display at the Center. We would be honored to come and present our work on February 28, from 11am to 12pm offering refreshments on a nearby table where the children will be answering questions to the public of their projects.
