Come celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Wix Gallery on the Riverwalk on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm which is Pueblo's monthly First Friday Art Walk event. Pueblo artist and gallery founder Randy Wix has created a new art destination that showcases the works of a core group of 6 artists including Randy Wix, Cristine Boyd, Paul Krueger, Kim Faiella, Justin Reddick and Liz McCombs. In addition to these works, the Gallery will curate a series of short exhibitions and installations featuring a wide variety of talent from this region of Colorado and beyond. The Wix Gallery will also dedicate a portion of its programming to video installation art which lacks representation here in Pueblo.

The story of Steel City Pueblo unfolds like the turns in the Arkansas River which runs through this frontier town in southern Colorado. Opportunity has always been welcome in this land of new beginnings and in the spirit of the Guggenheims and Rockefellers who came before to share their visions of the future of the West, a new creative narrative is arriving along the shores of Pueblo.

Industrial abstract artist Randy Wix is based in Pueblo and has shared his story with major galleries and collectors in the USA and abroad over the past decade. In March 2017, Randy will be unveiling the Wix Gallery located on the west end of the Riverwalk in the Olde Towne Carriage House in the heart of the Historic Union District. This exciting new art destination will be home to a powerful and expressive group of artists who will showcase their fine art mastery and serve as the anchor for storytelling and collecting. The gallery space will also be a destination for visiting artists from Colorado and beyond to share their journeys on the frontier of contemporary art. Come home to Pueblo again for the very first time and be amazed.
