Open to Spring Description:
Steel City Art Works will host “Open to Spring” for March, at 216 S. Union Ave., Pueblo. The Gallery is expanding its hours this month and will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m., for in-person shopping. Customers can also make an appointment the remainder of the week by emailing steelcityartworks@gmail.com for a preferred time. Posts of new works by artists, with descriptions and prices, can be found on Facebook and Instagram daily.
The artists featured in the display window and around the Gallery for this month are Nancy Goodenough, who explores landscapes, nature, and her love of people and animal faces in pastels; John Kearney, who has been a photography hobbyist for about 15 years, is self-taught and enjoys wildlife photography and landscapes; Kyle Laws, the director of Line/Circle: Women Poets in Performance, and who creates visual and text poems that have appeared in galleries, books, magazines and anthologies; and Phil Rader, who creates abstract non-representational art with is primary medium as oil paint on canvas, though he also enjoys exploring his experimental process in mixed media and print making.
