2020 Western Landscape Symposium Description:
The fourteenth Annual Western Landscape Symposium will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020. The Symposium will be held at Pueblo Community College in the Fortino Ballroom and is an all day event beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Panayoti Kelaidis, Senior Curator and Director of Outreach at the Denver Botanic Gardens. He will present a session entitled “Gentle Conquest- The First Scientific Exploration to Pueblo and the Pockies”. Other session topics include drip irrigation, plant propagation, medicinal plants, buffalograss lawns, rock gardens and the Plant Select Program. The Western Landscape Symposium is an educational forum to promote the creation of appealing and sustainable landscapes in southeastern Colorado, incorporating water wise garden practices and plants adapted to local climate and soil conditions.
