Talk for Our Lives: Preventing Gun Violence

Description:
A panel of speakers will provide information on many of the avenues available to the public for reducing gun violence in CO and the U.S. This will be a non-partisan event that provides education on the occurrence of gun violence including accidental, assaultive, suicidal, and homicidal shootings, and current laws and policies in CO and the U.S. for preventing gun violence.
A panel of speakers will present:
•Patricia O’Brien, Pueblo Human Relations Commission member and adjunct instructor in social work
•Colorado State Senator Rhonda Fields, Senate District 29, Member Senate Judiciary Committee and Co-Sponsor, Crime Victim Rights Caucus
•Andrew Romanoff, President and CEO, Mental Health Colorado
•Rita Marquez, “Moms Demand Action”

An Open Forum for questions will follow the speaker presentations and refreshments will be served.
