Uveges: Katie and Joe is a duo that’s been working together in a sense for 20 years and in a sense, for just a few years. Father/daughter projects often take large breaks depending upon the mental health and relationship status of . . . each. Joe Uveges has 9 albums out and has been a “Best of” winner or finalist in both the Gazette and Independent publications many times. The latest win was a few years back with his daughter Katie for a video entitled “Start With I Love You”, a lovely soldier related love song inspired by a C.S. based military family. Katie Uveges, a graduate of U. of Northern Colorado, has been singing since she was 3, harmonizing since she was 5 and has studied piano and violin since childhood. A natural musical talent with an ear for the dramatic, Katie pushes her Dad toward a more contemporary sound without completely leaving behind the old school folk and country that they sang together in her childhood. They are excited to be working together after the difficult and tumultuous teenage years . . . a season which has been biographied in a recent co-write entitled: “I Hate You a Lot Less Than I Used To.” Sure to be both a fun and magical night of songs.
While Lindsay (Weidmann) and Jeremy Facknitz are each award-winning, acclaimed singer-songwriters on their own, on Thursday, May 31st they will combine forces to perform as "Lindsay & Jeremy". The Colorado Springs-based husband and wife duo first shared the stage in 2009 after they were each nominated for "Solo Artist of The Year" by the Pikes Peak Arts Council. A friendship blossomed after the awards ceremony... which led to writing sessions, tours, appearances at Studio Bee and MeadowGrass Music Festival, an album and eventually, marriage and children. This is the first time Lindsay and Jeremy have performed together in almost 2 years; don't miss this rare opportunity to see them shine on stage as a duo. It promises to be a night of beautiful harmonies, Sonny and Cher-like banter and good times!
