Pueblo's First Friday Art Walk Description:
The Pueblo Creative Corridor's First Friday Art Walk festivities begin at 5 p.m. on July 7. Stroll the sunny streets of downtown Pueblo and visit more than 35 art galleries, restaurants and businesses throughout the Creative Corridor. First Friday Art Walk activities are free.

Downtown Area/Main Street District
5th & Main Espresso Bar and Cafe, 421 N. Main St.-- Discover our two new tea rooms with local art added to the main coffee bar and gallery! Special pricing for new summer specialty lattes and cantaloupe iced tea will be available. Enjoy our "FAM"--Food, Art, Music.

Downtown Bar, 103 Central Plaza--Presenting Survey of Life and Land No. 4 featuring works by Linda Cates, Mo Keenan-Mason and Steve Mason. Survey represents life around us in paintings and photographs.

Formulary 55, 423 W. 4th St.--Explore their line of locally made small-batch bath and beauty products during their one open studio day a month! Noon to 7 p.m. in their showroom.

Mesa Junction District
Artisan Textile Co., 121 Broadway Ave.-- Featuring Pueblo West illustrator Daniela Bogart and her coloring books, cards and paintings for all ages--come and be a kid again! Create flower doodles at our Makers' Table. Refreshments served.

Broadway Cup 'n Cork, 100 Broadway Ave.-- Featuring works by Arleen Feiccabrino, who draws inspiration from unusual rocks and pieces of wood she collects during hikes in the mountains. Her self-described "crazy nature art," which she used as a tool in her classroom during her 27 years of teaching in Pueblo, will be available for purchase.

Grupo Folklorico del Pueblo Studio, 120 Lake Ave.-- This month, we will celebrate First Friday on Saturday, July 8. We will be having a folklorico dance conference this weekend and will have a showcase performance featuring the G.F.D.P. dancers, Los Bailadores from Kansas City, and Semblanzas de Mexico from Denver outside at the McClelland school yard on the corner of Abriendo and Lake Ave., weather permitting. The showcase will start at 7 p.m. We will be selling hotdogs wrapped in bacon with salsa for our fundraiser. Please come and join us!

Union Avenue Historic District
Arts Alliance Studios, 107 S. Grand Ave.-- All Clay a.k.a. Cristine Boyd will be hosting the first part of a two-part Raku workshop during the Art Walk. Come to the studio between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. for a lesson on making a clay object. A $30.00 fee covers materials, class time and firing.

The Hanging Tree Cafe, 209 S. Union Ave.-- Celebrate our local talent at monthly open mic! Sign-up begins at 5:30 p.m. Hosted by Nolan Smith, a locally-based loop artist with hip-hop flavor!

John Deaux Art Gallery and Turf Exchange Visual Arts Center, 221 S. Union Ave.-- As you view new works by the gallery artists, enjoy live music by Nuthatch Pants upstairs in John Deaux Art Gallery while Tom Boyd performs on his Marxophone downstairs in the Turf Exchange.

Southeastern Heritage Center & Museum, 201 W. "B" Street-- Photographer Ronald Dulle will present History on the Backroads, which includes 40 photos that explore canyons, rivers, roads and sites where early Colorado explorers, traders and adventurers opened doors for those who followed. The exhibit is part of Dulle's ongoing effort of combining history and artful photography to chronicle stories about southeastern Colorado.

First Friday guests of the Pueblo Heritage Center are also invited to visit the newly renovated and improved Pueblo County Historical Society library to see the extensive collections of print materials, historic records, vintage photographs, microfilms of Pueblo's newspapers and other resources that relate to the history of the Pueblo area, all of which are available for on-site research without fee or membership requirement.

Steel City Art Works Gallery, 216 S. Union Ave.-- Celebrating their 10th Anniversary with all the trimmings, including music from Fireweed and, of course, a celebratory cake! Five featured artists using many mediums round out the night in support of this celebration. They include mixed media from Be Be Burns; jewelry from Catie Blickhahn; acrylics and hand-painted tiles by Bruce Gifford; oils by Ed Hughes; and pastels, charcoal, batik and more from Sharon Orman.
