The Falcon Wanderers Walking Club invites you to participate in our Mount St. Francis Walk on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Come join us for some fun, fitness, and friendship at this non-competitive walking event. The walk is free and open to the public. The walk begins and ends at Marian Hall, Mount St. Francis, 7780 Deer Hill Grove, Colorado Springs, CO 80919. The 6 & 10 kilometer (K) routes will be on a dirt trail and then on sidewalks and pavement through very nice neighborhoods. Both trails will offer an optional 3K trail on Blodgett Peak. The trails are rated as moderate walks (2B-3C), due to the uneven ground, altitude, and elevation gain. Walking sticks are recommended. Large-wheeled strollers can complete the trails with difficulty. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Walk start times are between 8:00 to 11:30am. Everyone walks at their own pace, but please plan on finishing your walk by 3:00pm. Pets are not allowed for this event. Restrooms are available at the start/finish.
