The Creede Arts Council is inviting sculptors to enter the Creede Sculpture Show. The deadline for entries is May 15th. Accepted artists will be provided with space to show and sell their work. The opening will be August 18th at 6:00 pm and the show will be held on August 19 and 20, 2017 in the Basham Park area and around downtown Creede. A unique community with a rich mining and ranching history, Creede has been recognized as one of the best Small Art Towns with artists, galleries, a theatre and a strong summer tourism economy. CAC's dream is to enhance this vibrant atmosphere with the Creede Sculpture Show.

The first sculpture show was held in August, 2016 and about 8 sculptors and 600 patrons attended. CAC purchased two sculptures for permanent display in the Collins Memorial Art Park.

The long-term plan is to install sculptures throughout the community from the canyon north of town and south to the Rio Grande River.

There will be cash and purchase awards.
