The Falcon Wanderers Walking Club invites you to participate in our Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Walk on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Come join us for some fun, fitness, and friendship at this non-competitive walking event. The walk is free and open to the public. However, there is an entrance fee to the monument. The walk start time is between 9:30am-12:00pm at the Visitors Center,15807 Teller County Road 1, Florissant, CO 80816. The 5 & 10 kilometer routes will be on dirt and gravel trails. The trails are rated as moderate walks (2B-3B), due to the uneven ground, altitude, and elevation gain. Large-wheeled strollers can complete the 5k trail with difficulty. Wheelchairs can not complete this event. Everyone walks at their own pace, but please plan on finishing your walk by 3:00pm. Pets are not allowed for this event.
