Crime Stoppers is hosting their second annual S.W.A.T.T. (Sprinters, Walkers, And Trash Talkers) Walk/Run on September 29, 2018 at City Park. Registration begins at 7:00 am in the city park pavilion building. This will be a fun run with lots of drawings for prizes. We will be giving away overnight stays in Cripple Creek, ski resort tickets, Silverton and Royal Gorge train rides and numerous certificates and gifts. The walk begins at 7:40 a.m. followed by the run at 8:00 am. Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy. Crime Stoppers offers all three ways to submit anonymous tips to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies. If the tip results in a conviction the anonymous person can earn a cash reward. Your participation in this event helps us raise monies to pay out the cash rewards.
