Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center - River Campus
PUEBLO, Colo. (October 9, 2018) – Join the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center this Saturday, October 13th for a fun-filled fall day at the NWDC River Campus (5200 Nature Center Rd. Pueblo, CO 81001). Nature Palooza will be a free, family-friendly event featuring various outdoor activities happening throughout the grounds from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Kids and families can come explore the banks of the Arkansas River and meet live birds of prey at the Raptor Center and live arachnids from the Colorado Arachnid Club. There will be nature and science activities with Lake Pueblo State Park, live acoustic music, hiking and biking information, a scavenger hunt, rock painting with Pueblo ROCKS, fishing demos, conservation and environmental education, and more!

The highly-rated Dead Man's Bar-B-Que Food Truck will be parked at the Raptor Center, selling fresh BBQ and sandwiches from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (or until supplies run out).

In addition to the variety of activities happening, NWDC will have a Stuff the Backpack Fundraiser to help raise money to provide nature education to Colorado youth. The Raptor Center will be giving away a Bird of Prey Release opportunity to each donor who takes the fundraiser past a $1,000 threshold!
