The Breast Center of Excellence and St. Mary-Corwin Health Foundation will host the annual Breast Cancer Survivor celebration from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 25, at the Pueblo Union Depot. The event is geared to empower, inspire and bring together breast cancer survivors for a special celebration of life.

The event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a special presentation from Gail Mencini, author of “To Tuscany with Love.” During the celebration, Mencini will share the secrets behind her novel in her presentation “Cancer, Characters and Confirmations.”

“We are inspired by the courage and strength of our breast cancer survivors,” said Brenda Galassini, program manager, oncology, Dorcy Cancer Center. “We invite breast cancer survivors from across southeastern Colorado and their guests to join us for this empowering and inspiring event where they can form lasting bonds with fellow survivors while learning more about how to live a full and productive life following recovery.”
