Mountainfilm on Tour
7:00 PM
Occhiato Student Center Ballroom at CSU-Pueblo
The Tour features culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.

The show is emceed by a Mountainfilm presenter who guides the audience through the program, often sharing personal stories from their interactions with the filmmaker or the film's subjects. The presenter for the CSU-Pueblo show is Jessica Galbo, who has held multiple positions at Mountainfilm, including assistant tour director and director of education programs. Galbo is currently the choreographer for the Telluride Aids Benefit Fashion Show. An American Ballet Theatre-certified instructor, she served as the director of the Ames Conservatory and continues to instruct ballet at Palm Arts Dance.

Mountainfilm began in 1979 and is one of America’s longest-running film festivals. The festival is best described by one word: inspiring. In addition to screening leading independent documentary films from around the world, the festival includes a full-day symposium on contemporary issues, art and photography exhibits, early morning coffee talks, outdoor programs, a book-signing party, an ice cream social, student programs and a closing picnic/awards ceremony.

The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. A 2:30 p.m. matinee, also on Nov. 8 in the OSC Ballroom, is scheduled for campus and community members interested in an earlier, slightly shorter show.
