Ring in the Holidays at The Artists’ Gallery on First Friday!

Join in the festivities at The Artists’ Gallery on “First Friday”, December 6th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Our beautifully decorated window displays have been designed around the movie theme of White Christmas by member-artist, Diana Werthman, and beckon guests inside for a celebration of the season! Live entertainment will be performed by singer/guitarist, Tom Gudding, while holiday cookies and punch are served by our artists!

We are delighted to feature the 4th annual “School Art Show” for the month, displaying the creative talents of budding student artists! Coordinated by artist Ken McGowan, we anticipate a very high-quality presentation, with a wide variety of subjects and mediums represented, in 2D and 3D. Participating schools are:

Canon City High School, grades 9-12, art instructors, Kristi Cushman and Heidi Hubinger; Canon City Middle School, grades 6-8, art instructor, Andrew Vetter; Liberty Point International School (Pueblo West), grades 6-8, art instructor, Konnie Chace; Mountain View Core Knowledge School, grades K-8, art instructor, Meg Olsen; Lincoln School of Science and Technology and McKinley Elementary School, grades K-5, art instructor, Kristin Brown; Harrison Elementary School, grades K-5, art instructor, Suzanne Cooper; and Washington Elementary, grades K-5, art instructor, Michelle Taylor.

Please come to show support for the students and their art teachers, who have worked so hard on this impressive exhibit! Congratulations to the schools for acknowledging the value of art and preserving it in their curriculum!
