Public Utility Commission Hearing Colorado Energy Plan
4:00 PM
El Pueblo History Museum
Come express your concerns about Xcel's 2017 Renewable Energy Plan. Xcel proposes a three-year road-map to continue providing clean energy options, while ensuring ongoing compliance with Colorado’s standard.

"We all share the goal of satisfying Colorado’s growing energy demands in the most reliable, clean and affordable way possible. Today, about 22 percent of Colorado’s energy supply comes from renewable sources—and we remain on track to surpass the state’s 30 percent renewable energy standard by 2020." - Xcel Energy

The Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is considering a proposal to close local Comanche coal plants 1&2 and replace them with wind and solar jobs in Pueblo County. The PUC wants to hear from our Pueblo community so they are hosting a hearing in town on December 7th.

That day, we will need to pack the hearing with clean energy supporters to make it clear to the PUC that our community wants clean jobs, and quality retraining and benefits for the workers who will transition out of jobs at the Comanche plant.
