Exploring Color with Colored Pencils:
Three consecutive Sunday evenings, May 15, 22 & 29th
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Have fun learning how to solve the mysteries of color with colored pencils. We will cover color values, hues, intensity, primary & secondary, and make color wheels! Students must provide their own colored pencils and erasers. Prismacolor Premier (not Scholar) or Dick Blick pencils are recommended, in as large a set as possible. Instructor will provide paper and interesting surfaces to work on, with pre-sketched projects.

This class is suitable for beginners to advanced; ages 16 and up.
A minimum of 2 participants required for the class, with a maximum of 6.
Tuition: $60.00, cash or check (sorry, no credit cards accepted).

Soft (chalk) Pastels & Acrylics:
Three consecutive Monday evenings, May 16, 23 & 30th
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Instructor will provide mat board painted with Golden's Micaceous Iron Oxide and show you how to layer luscious color almost infinitely with soft pastels and Acrylic Matte Medium, as shown in Jan's painting, "Two Dogs Waiting". It's a technique that lets you go beyond the limits of pastels on paper. Students provide their own soft (chalk) pastels, at least 24 colors. In pastels, more is, better! Instructor will provide surfaces to work on, acrylics, special fixative, and tools for applying them.

This class is suitable for beginners and up, who have used pastels before; ages 16 and up.
