Pueblo's First Friday Art Walk Description:
The Artists' Gallery, 416 Main St., Historic Downtown Canon City, is presenting a very special "First Friday" event on Sept. 5th from 5-8 p.m.

An extraordinary private art collection, dedicated to 200 years of American history, along with two others, will be on display for sale. The collection includes a very rare suite, published in 1975, entitled "An American Portrait: Your Huddled Masses, 1776-1976". This suite features essays by notable authors such as Robert Kennedy, as well as eleven art works by well-known masters of the 20th Century.

In addition, Ken McGowan, a well-rounded, award-winning artist and respected educator, is the gallery's featured artist for the month. Ken works in a variety of medium, creating his images in a refined, symbolic and often surrealistic representation, many with his signature unifying borders.

Join us to view incredible art, enjoy entertainment and complimentary refreshments provided by Good Thyme Cafe. The gallery showcases the works of 50 talented local artists and is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information visit our website: www.theartistsgalleryonline.com.
