Family Friendly Bicycle Cruiser Ride featuring authentic Mexican restaurants and the new bicycle lanes which will be installed at the end of August. All ages, skill levels and appetites! The ride is on Saturday, September 6th. Meet at the parking lot on the corner of E. "D" Street and S. Main Street across from the Police Station at 11:00 am.
There will be a safety talk and pre ride handouts provided at 11:15 am. The ride will cover about 13 miles throughout several areas in Pueblo, but there are options to bail out at 4.5 miles or 9 miles if you'd like. The route will include the Mesa Junction, Bessemer, Historic Union Avenue, East Side, and the new bicycle trails on Greenwood Street and Elizabeth Street on the Historic North Side. It will pass 17 Mexican Restaurants with some stops to sample the local Mexican cuisine or drinks. Don't forget cash or credit card for this part. Estimated times for full route is 11 am - 4 pm including stops. There is a Facebook event page set up for more information.
