Please join us at the Barickman's house (8140 Zorn Rd in Rye) on November 1, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for our 1st annual Hoofit4Harlie half marathon. Late registration/check in begins at 8:00 a.m. The 5k run/walk will begin and end in the parking lot of True Value in Colorado City. No late registration for the 5k event. Check in time will begin at 9:00 a.m. Proceeds from all races directly benefit Harlie's Greenhouse @ Rye Elementary. The funds generated from this fun community event will be used to build a compost bin, additional outdoor grow boxes, as well as buy seeds, pots, and organic soil. Students and teachers are currently growing vegetables, herbs, and organic produce from seed. CSS farm has graciously given a hydroponic table to Harlie's Greenhouse, so students can learn to grow plants in soil as well as water. Please join us in this wonderful event to honor the life of Harlie Taylor Barickman.
